据了解，当前与儿童有关的道路交通事故频发，并呈现出日趋严重的态势。由公安部、疾控中心下属科研单位联合编写的《中国儿童道路交通伤害状况研究报告》显示，全球每年有上千万的儿童因交通事故受伤或致残，每3分钟就有1名儿童因交通伤害死亡。道路交通事故伤害已上升为中国0-17岁儿童伤害致死的第二大原因，安吉星对此现象高度关注，并由此与凤凰网公益共同发起了本次儿童出行安全主题公益行动。
